AI-suggested
A patch is available and has been released in Linux kernel versions 5.15.0-1117.124~20.04.1 and later. Users should update to these fixed versions or later to remediate the vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official kernel updates.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's USB serial driver for keyspan_pda devices caused an information leak. The write() callback could return a larger number of characters than actually passed, leading to data leakage from beyond the intended buffer. This issue has been fixed by ensuring the write callback returns zero on success as intended.
