Description
CVE-2026-64475 is a high severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's vfio/pci subsystem. It involves improper release of the VGA arbiter client on failure during device registration, which can lead to unsafe stale callback references. The issue was addressed by adding the required VGA unwind callout to prevent use-after-free conditions. Multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 5.15.0-1117.124~20.04.1 and specific older versions are affected. A patch is available and has been released by Ubuntu.
