Until patched, avoid exposure to untrusted virtio backends.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's virtio-net driver was resolved involving an incorrect length check in the receive_big() function. The function allowed a malicious virtio backend to announce a length that could cause an out-of-bounds write past the static frag array and a NULL fragment to be processed. This flaw could lead to high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
