Published: 07/22/2026 (07/22/2026, 16:14:23 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: onlook
Product: repo

Description

Onlook versions up to 0.2.32 contain a broken object level authorization vulnerability. Authenticated attackers can supply arbitrary UUID values to certain tRPC API procedures, such as project.get, member.remove, and chat.conversation.delete, to access and manipulate other users' projects, members, and conversation data without proper authorization checks. This vulnerability allows unauthorized reading, modification, and deletion of other users' resources. The issue was fixed in a commit identified as 423e2e9.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-65013 is a broken object level authorization vulnerability in the onlook repo affecting versions up to and including 0.2.32. The flaw allows authenticated users to bypass authorization by providing arbitrary UUIDs to tRPC API endpoints, enabling unauthorized access and manipulation of other users' project data, membership, and chat conversations. The vulnerability impacts API procedures project.get, member.remove, and chat.conversation.delete. The vulnerability was fixed in commit 423e2e9, but no official patch release version or advisory is explicitly stated.

Potential Impact

Authenticated attackers can read, modify, and delete resources belonging to other users by exploiting the lack of proper authorization validation on UUID parameters in critical API calls. This compromises confidentiality, integrity, and availability of user data within the affected onlook repo versions.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in the onlook repo as of commit 423e2e9. Users should upgrade to a version that includes this commit or apply the fix manually. Since no official patch release version or vendor advisory is provided, users should verify their version is later than 0.2.32 or contains the fix. Patch status is not yet fully confirmed in a released version—check the vendor repository or advisory for current remediation guidance.
