Until a fix is available, restrict administrator access to trusted users only and consider disabling or restricting mail template editing. Monitor vendor communications for updates and apply official patches once released.
Description
Microweber CMS versions up to 2.0.20 have a server-side template injection vulnerability that allows authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary OS commands. This occurs because the Twig template engine is used without sandboxing or security policies in mail templates, enabling injection of malicious Twig expressions stored unsanitized in the database. These expressions execute automatically when mail dispatch events occur.
