Description

Courier IMAP versions prior to 6.0.1 and Courier Mail Server versions prior to 2.0.2 contain a vulnerability where authenticated IMAP users can crash the imapd process by sending deeply nested parenthesized SEARCH queries. The vulnerability arises from uncontrolled recursion in the SEARCH command parser, which lacks a depth limit and can overflow the default 8MB stack, causing a crash (SIGSEGV).
