Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-6798 is a missing authorization vulnerability (CWE-862) in the 2Download Connector for 2DL Hosted Checkout WordPress plugin. Versions up to and including 0.1.5 do not properly verify user authorization before allowing access to subscription-related data. This enables unauthenticated attackers to view sensitive customer subscription information such as status, product names, order IDs, purchase dates, and expiry dates. There is no vendor-provided patch or official remediation guidance available at this time.

Potential Impact

An attacker without authentication can access sensitive subscription data of customers, potentially leading to privacy violations and unauthorized disclosure of purchase-related information. There is no indication of integrity or availability impact. The confidentiality impact is limited to information disclosure of subscription details.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the plugin or disable it if possible to prevent unauthorized data exposure.
