AI-suggested
A patch is available and should be applied. Fixed Linux kernel versions include 5.15.0-1117.124~20.04.1 and later builds listed in the established facts. Users should update to these fixed kernel versions to remediate the vulnerability.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's HID Wacom driver was fixed by ensuring hardware is properly stopped after failures during post-start probe operations. Previously, errors occurring after starting the HID hardware but before completing input registration and pad LED initialization could lead to resource leaks because the hardware was not stopped correctly. This flaw was identified through static analysis and affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 5.15.0 updates. The issue has a high severity score and a patch is available.
