A fix is available and has been applied in specific Linux kernel commits identified by their hashes. Users and administrators should update to a Linux kernel version that includes these fixes to remediate the vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patch.

Description

CVE-2026-68329 is a high-severity race condition vulnerability in the Linux kernel's AMD IOMMU driver. The flaw arises because the iommu_completion_wait() function can return early without properly waiting for all previously queued commands to complete in a multi-CPU environment. This can lead to use-after-free conditions when the IOMMU hardware still references stale page-table entries. The issue is fixed by properly locking and waiting for the last allocated sequence number to ensure all prior commands have completed.
