AI-suggested

A patch is available that replaces the warning with a graceful early return in the affected function, eliminating crashes and warnings. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include this fix. No additional mitigation actions are required beyond updating to a patched kernel version.

Description

A race condition in the Linux kernel's DRM DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (MST) topology handling was fixed. The issue occurred when a hotplug or link-loss event tore down the MST topology concurrently with a probe call, causing spurious kernel warnings and compositor crashes. The fix replaces a warning with a graceful early return to handle torn-down topology states properly, eliminating crashes while preserving correct behavior.
