Technical Analysis

ThemisNETPanel contains a missing authentication vulnerability (CWE-306) on a critical file upload endpoint. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to upload arbitrary PHP files by submitting base64-encoded payloads, leading to remote code execution on the underlying server. The vulnerability has a CVSS 4.0 score of 9.3, indicating critical severity. The vendor released a patch in April 2026 to fix the issue, although explicit affected versions are not provided.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation enables unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on the server hosting ThemisNETPanel. This can lead to full system compromise, data theft, or further attacks within the network. The vulnerability is critical due to its remote, unauthenticated nature and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Mitigation Recommendations

A patch was released by the vendor in April 2026 to fix this vulnerability. Users of ThemisNETPanel should apply the official patch immediately to remediate the issue. Since this is not a cloud service, remediation depends on applying the vendor's patch. Patch status is not explicitly confirmed in the advisory, so verify with the vendor for the latest remediation guidance.
