Description

A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in hashcat versions after v7.1.2 in the KeePass AESKDF/KDBX v4 module (module 34301). The vulnerability arises from improper handling of the ninth hash field token, which can be oversized and decoded into a fixed 256-byte buffer without length checks. This can lead to corruption of adjacent heap memory and potential memory access violations.
