VulnerabilityCVE-2026-7051cvecve-2026-7051cwe-862
Published: 05/13/2026 (05/13/2026, 04:26:41 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: pr-gateway
Product: Blog2Social: Social Media Auto Post & Scheduler

Description

The Blog2Social: Social Media Auto Post & Scheduler plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in all versions up to, and including, 8.9.0. This is due to a missing ownership verification in the B2S_Post_Tools::deleteUserPublishPost() and B2S_Post_Tools::deleteUserSchedPost() functions, neither function includes a blog_user_id constraint in its database query, allowing authenticated attackers to soft-delete any user's B2S post records by supplying arbitrary sequential wp_b2s_posts.id values via the 'postId' parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers to delete other users' published and scheduled social media post records, disrupting content publishing workflows.

Technical Analysis

The Blog2Social plugin for WordPress suffers from a missing authorization vulnerability (CWE-862) in the B2S_Post_Tools::deleteUserPublishPost() and deleteUserSchedPost() functions. These functions lack ownership verification and do not constrain database queries by blog_user_id, enabling authenticated attackers to soft-delete any user's social media post records by supplying arbitrary post IDs. This flaw affects all versions up to and including 8.9.0 and allows disruption of other users' content publishing by deleting their posts.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with at least limited privileges to delete published and scheduled social media posts belonging to other users. This results in integrity and availability impacts by disrupting content publishing workflows. There is no impact on confidentiality. The CVSS 3.1 base score is 5.4 (medium severity), reflecting network attack vector, low attack complexity, low privileges required, no user interaction, unchanged scope, no confidentiality impact, limited integrity impact, and limited availability impact.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is released, restrict plugin usage to trusted users only and monitor for suspicious deletion activity. Avoid granting unnecessary privileges to users who can access the affected functions. Follow the vendor's updates closely for an official fix or temporary mitigation.
