Technical Analysis

This vulnerability affects the Core component of Oracle Identity Manager within Oracle Fusion Middleware. It permits unauthenticated remote attackers to exploit the system over HTTP without any user interaction or privileges, resulting in full compromise of Oracle Identity Manager. The CVSS 3.1 vector (AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H) reflects network attack vector, low attack complexity, no privileges or user interaction required, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Oracle has released a Critical Security Patch Update in September 2026 that includes fixes for this vulnerability among others.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows an unauthenticated attacker to take over Oracle Identity Manager, compromising confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the system. This could lead to unauthorized access, data manipulation, and service disruption within Oracle Identity Manager environments.

Mitigation Recommendations

Oracle has released a Critical Security Patch Update in September 2026 that addresses this vulnerability. Customers should apply the provided security patches without delay to remediate the issue. Oracle strongly recommends remaining on actively-supported versions and promptly applying all relevant security updates. Patch status is confirmed as available via the official Oracle advisory.
