Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-71385 is an Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in Adobe ColdFusion 2025 that permits arbitrary code execution by an attacker possessing high privileges. The flaw affects versions up to and including 2025.0.13 and 2023.0.25. The vulnerable component is typically confined to an administrative network zone, limiting exposure. The vulnerability does not require user interaction and results in a change of scope, allowing code execution with the current user's privileges.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation can lead to arbitrary code execution with high privileges, compromising confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected system. The vulnerability affects administrative components, increasing the risk of significant impact if exploited.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Since the vulnerable component is restricted to an administrative network zone by default, limiting access to this zone can reduce exposure until an official fix is available.
