Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-71440 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (CWE-79) vulnerability in Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service. It enables an attacker with low privileges to inject malicious JavaScript into form fields that are stored and later rendered in a victim's browser, potentially leading to script execution. The vulnerability affects multiple versions of the product as specified. The CVSS v3.1 vector indicates network attack vector, low attack complexity, low privileges required, user interaction required, scope changed, and impacts confidentiality and integrity with no impact on availability.
Potential Impact
Successful exploitation allows an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of the victim's browser session when they access the affected page. This can lead to information disclosure and integrity issues within the affected application context. There is no indication of availability impact or known active exploitation in the wild.
Mitigation Recommendations
Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Since this is a cloud service, verify with Adobe if the service is patched server-side or if any customer action is required. Until a fix is confirmed, avoid using vulnerable form fields or restrict access to trusted users only.
