A patch is available that adds a NOLPM quirk for the PNY CS900 1TB SSD, disabling link power management for this device to prevent the issue. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include this fix. No additional action is required beyond applying the patch.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ATA libata-core subsystem affects the PNY CS900 1TB SSD (Phison PS3111-S11, DRAM-less). The drive drops off the bus after entering Device-Initiated Slumber during idle, causing the link to go down and forcing the filesystem into read-only mode. The issue is resolved by adding a NOLPM quirk that disables link power management specifically for this drive, preventing the link from going down while leaving other devices unaffected.
