A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. Users should update to the fixed kernel releases to remediate this issue. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's dm-integrity subsystem caused uninitialized kernel memory to be leaked when the hash size was smaller than the device's tuple size. The intended behavior was to zero the remaining space, but a bug prevented this, potentially exposing sensitive kernel memory. This issue has been fixed in affected Linux kernel versions.
