A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions to correct the Landlock signal delivery logic. The vendor advisory confirms that the issue has been resolved. Users should update to patched kernel versions as listed in the advisory. No additional mitigations are indicated beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Landlock security module allowed sandboxed processes to bypass LANDLOCK_SCOPE_SIGNAL restrictions via the asynchronous SIGIO signal delivery path. This flaw enabled a sandboxed process to signal or kill processes outside its Landlock domain by exploiting process group signaling. The issue was due to improper domain recording and signal delivery checks for process groups, which has now been fixed.
