A patch is available that addresses this issue by properly releasing reserved memory on cleanup. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include this fix. No additional mitigation actions are indicated by the vendor advisory.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ASoC Mediatek mt8192 driver was resolved, where reserved memory assigned during probe was not released on failure or driver unbind. This could lead to resource leaks. The issue was fixed by registering a devm cleanup action to release the reserved memory properly. Multiple Linux kernel versions are affected, and a patch is available.
