A fix is available and should be applied by updating to patched versions of the Linux kernel. Users should upgrade to versions where this issue is resolved. Since this is a kernel-level vulnerability, applying the official kernel updates from the vendor or distribution is the recommended remediation.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mlx5e network driver component was resolved, where an error in handling Link Aggregation Group (LAG) sequence numbers could lead to bad memory access and kernel crashes. The issue occurs when the function mlx5_lag_get_dev_seq() returns an error because the peer device is not part of the LAG or no device is marked as master, causing improper cleanup of peer flows. This flaw has been fixed by skipping peer flow cleanup when the lookup fails.
