A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. The vendor advisory confirms that the issue has been resolved. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions to mitigate this vulnerability.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's AFS (Andrew File System) volume management was fixed. The issue involved incorrect setting of the AFS_VOLUME_RM_TREE flag in the function afs_insert_volume_into_cell(), causing the old volume to be removed from the volume tree twice and the new volume never to be removed. This flaw has been resolved in affected Linux kernel versions.
