Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: kekingcn
Product: kkFileView

Description

kkFileView versions prior to 5.0.1 contain a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the unauthenticated GET /addTask endpoint. This endpoint is not protected by TrustHostFilter and TrustDirFilter, allowing an attacker to cause the server to fetch arbitrary URLs when processing certain file types. The issue is fixed in version 5.0.1.

Technical Analysis

kkFileView, a Spring Boot-based file preview project, has an SSRF vulnerability (CWE-918) in versions before 5.0.1. The unauthenticated GET /addTask endpoint is excluded from host and directory trust filters, enabling the FileConvertQueueTask to fetch attacker-controlled URLs after the FileHandlerService#getFileAttribute method uses the fullfilename parameter to force processing of OFFICE, COMPRESS, or CAD file types. This can lead to the server making unintended HTTP requests. The vulnerability is addressed in version 5.0.1.

Potential Impact

An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this SSRF vulnerability to make the server perform HTTP requests to arbitrary URLs. This may allow limited information disclosure or interaction with internal services accessible from the server. The CVSS score of 5.8 reflects a medium severity with low complexity and no required privileges or user interaction. There is no indication of integrity or availability impact.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade kkFileView to version 5.0.1 or later, where this SSRF vulnerability is fixed. No other official remediation or temporary fixes are indicated. Since this is not a cloud service, remediation depends on applying the vendor's fixed version.
