An official fix is available and should be applied. Users should update to patched Linux kernel versions as provided by their distribution. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the update.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net: wwan: t7xx driver was resolved where a failure to check the result of skb_clone() in the t7xx_port_ctrl_tx() function could lead to a NULL pointer dereference. This occurs because the clone is used immediately to set cloned->len without verifying if the clone succeeded. The fix involves checking the clone before use and preserving existing partial-write behavior if previous fragments were queued.
