A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. The vendor advisory confirms that this issue has been resolved in updated kernel releases. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions to mitigate this vulnerability.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's RDMA/irdma subsystem caused an out-of-bounds (OOB) read during Completion Queue (CQ) Memory Region (MR) registration. The issue stemmed from improper handling of the cqmr->split field, which was not set correctly before CQ creation, leading to an OOB read when accessing an array beyond its bounds in certain hardware generations. This flaw has been fixed by removing the faulty field and directly checking the CQ resize feature flag.
