A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions to resolve this vulnerability. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions as provided by their Linux distribution vendors. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's BPF subsystem allowed exclusive maps, which are intended to be accessible only by a single matching program, to be iterated over without enforcing exclusivity checks. This occurred because the bpf_map_elem iterator binds the target map at attach time without verifying program compatibility, exposing writable map values improperly. This flaw has been resolved in affected Linux kernel versions.
