An official patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. Users should update their systems to the fixed kernel versions as provided by their distribution. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the update and rebooting the system.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's vsock/virtio subsystem was resolved by ensuring virtqueues are read under worker locks. The issue involved workers reading virtqueues before locking and checking run flags, potentially retaining pointers to deleted queues after device suspend/resume operations. This flaw could lead to system compromise. Multiple specific Linux kernel versions are affected. A patch is available to address this issue.
