A patch is available that fixes this vulnerability by changing the ndp_index variable to unsigned int. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates for the affected linux-aws versions to remediate this issue.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's usb gadget function f_ncm was resolved by changing the variable ndp_index from signed int to unsigned int. The signed ndp_index could overflow and become negative when a malicious host supplied a large offset, bypassing bounds checks and causing an out-of-bounds read. This issue has been fixed in affected linux-aws versions.
