A patch is available that fixes this issue by properly killing the rcv_urb on error in cxacru_cm(). Users and administrators should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include this fix. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the patch.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's usb: atm: cxacru driver was fixed by ensuring that the receive URB (rcv_urb) is properly killed on error in the cxacru_cm() function. Previously, if cxacru_cm() encountered an error while submitting or waiting for the send URB (snd_urb), it aborted without killing the already submitted rcv_urb, leaving it active. This could cause warnings and potential instability during driver initialization. The fix involves calling usb_kill_urb() on rcv_urb in the error path to safely terminate it.
