CVE-2026-75125: NULL Pointer Dereference in PLANET Technology Corp. PLANET GS-4210-16P2S V3
Description
PLANET GS-4210-16P2S V3 firmware before 3.441b260626 contains an authenticated null pointer dereference vulnerability in /cgi-bin/dispatcher.cgi. The web_poe_alive_rmtip_post handler dereferences the rmtIP parameter without verifying its presence. A remote authenticated attacker can send a crafted request omitting the rmtIP parameter to cause the CGI process to dereference a null pointer and crash, resulting in denial of service of the web management interface.

Technical Analysis
The PLANET GS-4210-16P2S V3 firmware prior to version 3.441b260626 contains an authenticated null pointer dereference vulnerability in the web_poe_alive_rmtip_post handler within /cgi-bin/dispatcher.cgi. This handler dereferences the rmtIP parameter without checking if it is present. A remote attacker with authentication can exploit this by sending a request that omits the rmtIP parameter, causing the CGI process to dereference a null pointer and crash, leading to denial of service of the device's web management interface.
Potential Impact
Successful exploitation results in denial of service of the web management interface, potentially disrupting administrative access to the device. The vulnerability requires authentication, limiting the attack surface to authenticated users. There is no indication of code execution or data disclosure from this vulnerability.
Mitigation Recommendations
Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a patch is available, restrict authenticated access to trusted users only and monitor for unusual crashes of the web management interface.
