Published: 10/15/2026 (10/15/2026, 01:39:56 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: crestalnetwork
Product: intentkit

Description

CVE-2026-76066 is an authorization bypass vulnerability in crestalnetwork's IntentKit up to version 2.6.3. The flaw allows unauthenticated or public callers in various contexts (WEB, API, TWITTER, TELEGRAM) to execute owner-only state-changing tools without approval. This occurs because the executor validates tool calls against the full tool registry instead of the restricted per-request tool advertisement, enabling unauthorized execution of sensitive capabilities such as wallet transfer and memory-write.

Technical Analysis

IntentKit versions up to 2.6.3 contain an authorization bypass vulnerability where the executor improperly validates tool calls against the entire tool registry rather than the narrowed tool advertisement enforced by ToolBindingMiddleware. This allows unauthenticated or public callers in WEB, API, TWITTER, or TELEGRAM contexts to supply de-advertised tool names and arguments via indirect prompt injection or replay of checkpoint and history data, resulting in unauthorized execution of owner-restricted state-changing tools including wallet transfer, posting, memory-write, and call-agent.

Potential Impact

An attacker can bypass authorization controls and execute sensitive owner-only tools without any human approval or interaction. This could lead to unauthorized wallet transfers, posting actions, memory modifications, and agent calls, potentially compromising the integrity and security of the affected system.
