Description
CVE-2026-80526 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ASoC driver for the tas2562 audio codec. The vulnerability arises because the tas2562_volume_control_put() function does not validate user-supplied control values before using them as an index into a fixed-size array, leading to a potential buffer overflow. This flaw has been fixed by adding proper validation to ensure only valid array indices are used.
