A patch is available and should be applied to affected linux-hwe-edge kernel versions to remove the WARN_ON_ONCE() call from parse_btf_arg. Applying the official kernel updates from the vendor will mitigate this issue.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's tracing/probes subsystem was addressed by removing a WARN_ON_ONCE() call from the parse_btf_arg function. The issue was that a user could easily trigger this warning by adding a kprobe event based on a raw address with a BTF parameter, which was not considered an unexpected condition. This fix removes the warning to prevent unnecessary alerts. The vulnerability affects specific versions of the linux-hwe-edge kernel and has been patched. No known exploits are reported in the wild.
