A patch is available that corrects the double-unpin issue by reordering the unpin operation. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include this fix. The vendor advisory confirms the issue is resolved in updated kernel versions.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's AMD GPU driver (drm/amdkfd) caused a double-unpin operation on DOORBELL and MMIO buffer objects during memory freeing. This could trigger an underflow warning in the kernel's memory management subsystem. The issue was fixed by adjusting the unpin operation to occur only after confirming the buffer object is no longer mapped to the GPU.
