AI-suggested
A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. Systems running with CONFIG_DEBUG_VIRTUAL=y should prioritize updating to avoid kernel crashes. For other configurations, the issue is benign but updating is recommended to ensure stability.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel crypto CCP driver was resolved where a zero-length userspace certificate chain buffer was not properly handled. This caused a kernel BUG_ON() when CONFIG_DEBUG_VIRTUAL=y was enabled, due to an invalid physical address calculation. Outside of this debug configuration, the bug is benign as the physical address calculation is just arithmetic and the PSP prevents memory corruption.
