A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu confirms that this issue has been fixed. Users should update their Linux kernel packages to the patched versions as provided by their distribution.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IP Virtual Server (IPVS) TCP state handling was resolved. The issue involved incorrect parsing of the TCP header offset for IPv6 packets with extension headers, causing TCP state lookups to reference incorrect bytes. This flaw was fixed by using the correct parsed transport offset passed from ip_vs_set_state(). The vulnerability affects specific Linux kernel versions and has a medium severity rating. A patch is available to address this issue.
