An official fix is available and should be applied. Users should update their Linux kernel to the patched versions that resolve this issue. No additional mitigation actions are indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's InfiniBand mlx5 driver related to implicit On-Demand Paging (ODP) reregistration of memory regions (rereg_mr) has been resolved. The issue involved improper handling of child memory keys (mkeys) in the implicit ODP configuration, requiring a full rebuild of the parent mkey when changes were requested. This fix also addresses a race condition involving access to the memory region's protection domain (mr->pd).
