Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IP Virtual Server (ipvs) component related to improper checksum validation for ICMPv6 packets has been fixed. The issue involved missing checksum validation in ip_vs_in_icmp_v6() for ICMPv6 packets from clients and missing pseudo-header calculation in handle_response_icmp() for ICMPv6 messages from real servers. The fix introduces a common checksum validation helper used for TCP, UDP, and ICMP packets for both IPv4 and IPv6. Checksum validation is now correctly applied only on LOCAL_IN traffic where necessary.
