Technical Analysis

The MasterStudy LMS WordPress Plugin versions prior to 3.7.46 do not enforce authorization checks when returning course enrollment and progress data for students. As a result, unauthenticated attackers can retrieve sensitive information about any registered user's enrolled courses and learning progress. This constitutes an information disclosure vulnerability classified under CWE-200. No official patch or remediation level has been confirmed in the provided data.

Potential Impact

An attacker without authentication can disclose sensitive user information related to course enrollment and progress. This exposure could lead to privacy violations but does not impact integrity or availability. There is no evidence of active exploitation in the wild.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the plugin's endpoints that return enrollment and progress data, if possible, and monitor for unauthorized access attempts.
