Users should upgrade the Amazon Redshift JDBC Driver to version 2.2.2 or later to remediate this vulnerability. No other mitigations are indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

Amazon Redshift JDBC Driver versions prior to 2.2.2 contain a vulnerability where externally controlled input in JDBC connection URL parameters can lead to arbitrary class loading and code execution. This occurs if an attacker can influence the connection URL and a suitable class is present on the application's classpath. The vulnerability is addressed by upgrading to version 2.2.2 or later.
