Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-82245 describes a missing role-based authorization enforcement in Budibase server versions prior to 3.41.3. Specifically, the /api/global/license/* endpoints do not properly restrict access, enabling any authenticated user with low privileges to delete license keys or manipulate offline tokens. This flaw can be exploited to disable premium features and downgrade deployments, impacting all users relying on these licenses.

Potential Impact

Attackers with basic user privileges can exploit this vulnerability to disable premium features and downgrade deployments for all users by deleting license keys or manipulating offline tokens. This compromises the integrity of license management and can degrade service functionality.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade Budibase server to version 3.41.3 or later, where role-based authorization on license management endpoints is properly enforced. Patch status is confirmed by the version information indicating fixed in 3.41.3.
