Technical Analysis

This vulnerability in the SGA1000 device allows an attacker who can access the product via FTP to perform relative path traversal. This enables unauthorized viewing and modification of arbitrary files on the server hosting the device. The affected versions are >=0 and <1.02. The CVSS 3.1 vector indicates network attack vector, low attack complexity, requires low privileges, no user interaction, unchanged scope, and high confidentiality and integrity impacts without availability impact.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation can lead to unauthorized disclosure and modification of sensitive files on the affected device, potentially compromising device integrity and confidentiality. There is no indication of availability impact. No known exploits are reported in the wild at this time.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix information is provided. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict FTP access to trusted users only and monitor for suspicious activity related to file access.
