Technical Analysis

An information exposure vulnerability exists in the CONPROSYS M2M Gateway Series and M2M Controller Series from Contec Co., Ltd. Due to improper access control on directory listings, a remote unauthenticated attacker can access a specific URL to retrieve directory contents without authentication. This affects versions prior to 4.1.0 of the M2M Gateway Integrated Type CPS-MG341* product line. The CVSS 3.1 base score is 4.3, indicating medium severity with low complexity and no user interaction required.

Potential Impact

An attacker can remotely access directory listings without authentication, potentially exposing sensitive information about the file structure on affected devices. This could aid in further reconnaissance but does not directly impact integrity or availability.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. No official fix or patch links are provided in the available data. Until a patch is available, restrict access to the affected URLs and implement network-level controls to limit exposure.
