Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-84259 is a stored XSS vulnerability in the click5 CRM add-on to WPForms WordPress plugin through version 1.0.3. The issue occurs due to improper sanitization and escaping of user-submitted content via an unauthenticated endpoint, which is then reflected in an admin page. This can lead to script execution in the context of admin users, potentially enabling actions such as session hijacking or unauthorized administrative operations.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows an attacker to inject and execute arbitrary scripts in the browser of high-privilege users (e.g., administrators) when they view the affected admin page. This could lead to compromise of administrative accounts or unauthorized actions within the WordPress environment.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official patch or fix is currently documented. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the affected plugin's admin pages to trusted users only and consider disabling or removing the click5 CRM add-on if possible.
