Published: 09/11/2026 (09/11/2026, 06:00:09 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Product: WPCafe

Description

The WPCafe WordPress plugin before 3.0.18 does not correctly restrict access to a set of order-management REST endpoints because their permission callbacks return an incorrect type on failure, allowing unauthenticated users to disclose guest order information and to change the status of, or trash, any order.

Technical Analysis

The WPCafe plugin before version 3.0.18 does not properly restrict access to several order-management REST API endpoints. The permission callbacks for these endpoints return an incorrect type on failure, which results in insufficient access control. Consequently, unauthenticated users can retrieve guest order details and change the status or trash any order via these endpoints.

Potential Impact

Unauthenticated attackers can disclose sensitive guest order information and manipulate order statuses or delete orders. This compromises the confidentiality and integrity of order data managed by the WPCafe plugin.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade WPCafe to version 3.0.18 or later, where this access control issue has been fixed. No other mitigation steps are indicated.
