AI-suggested

Until a fix is available, avoid using untrusted input for metric names or implement manual sanitization to remove newline, colon, and pipe characters from metric names before passing them to Net::Async::Statsd::Client.

Description

Net::Async::Statsd::Client versions through 0.005 for Perl allow metric injections. The metric names are not checked for newlines, colons or pipes. Metrics generated from untrusted sources could inject additional statsd metrics.
