Description

CVE-2026-87669 is a medium severity vulnerability in Brocade Fabric OS prior to version 10.0.1. It involves a missing authorization check in the REST API, allowing authenticated users with low privileges to access Monitoring and Alerting Policy Suite (MAPS) violation data across all logical switches. Technical Analysis

This vulnerability (CVE-2026-87669) is due to a missing authorization check in the REST API interface of Brocade Fabric OS versions before 10.0.1. An authenticated user, regardless of role or administrative scope, can retrieve comprehensive MAPS violation data for all logical switches. This includes sensitive system health and performance metrics, which should be restricted to privileged users. The CVSS 4.0 base score is 5.1, reflecting medium severity with network attack vector, low attack complexity, and low privileges required.

Potential Impact

An attacker with low-privilege API access can retrieve sensitive monitoring and alerting data across all logical switches in the affected Brocade Fabric OS systems. This unauthorized data disclosure could aid in reconnaissance or further attacks but does not directly allow system control or denial of service. No known active exploitation has been reported.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fixed version 10.0.1 or later addresses this missing authorization check. Users should upgrade to Fabric OS version 10.0.1 or newer to remediate this vulnerability. No vendor advisory or patch link was provided, so verify with Brocade for official updates and guidance. Until patched, restrict API access to trusted users only.
