Description

CVE-2026-87672 is an information disclosure vulnerability in Brocade Fabric OS versions before 10.0.1. It occurs in the SupportLink diagnostic collection utilities when configured to use an authenticated HTTP proxy. Technical Analysis

This vulnerability involves the insertion of sensitive information (proxy credentials) into log files generated by the SupportLink diagnostic utilities in Brocade Fabric OS versions prior to 10.0.1. When an authenticated HTTP proxy is used, the full proxy URL with credentials is stored in the diagnostic support bundle in cleartext. This allows users or support personnel with access to these bundles or file shares containing them to retrieve sensitive proxy credentials, leading to potential information disclosure.

Potential Impact

The impact is limited to information disclosure of proxy credentials stored in diagnostic support bundles. This could allow unauthorized users with access to these bundles to obtain sensitive authentication information, potentially compromising proxy access. There is no indication of remote code execution or privilege escalation from this vulnerability.

Mitigation Recommendations

No explicit patch or remediation is stated in the provided data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to diagnostic support bundles and file shares containing them to trusted personnel only to prevent unauthorized disclosure of proxy credentials.
