Until a patch is available, consider mitigating exposure by limiting access to affected components or disabling the vulnerable functionality if feasible.

Description

nDPI version 5.1.0 has a memory access vulnerability in its DNS dissector and serializer deserialization code. Improper handling of byte-buffer addresses at odd offsets can cause unaligned pointer dereferences, leading to undefined behavior. On architectures enforcing strict alignment or builds instrumented with UBSan, this can cause process termination and denial of service. No information about a patch is provided.
