What to do

AI-suggested

Until a fix is available, avoid processing untrusted little-endian PFM images with libvips 8.19.0 on strict-alignment architectures or UBSan-instrumented builds to prevent denial of service.

Description

A memory access vulnerability exists in libvips 8.19.0 when processing little-endian PFM images with a text header length not divisible by four. This causes misaligned float pointer dereferencing leading to undefined behavior and process termination on strict-alignment architectures or UBSan-instrumented builds, resulting in denial of service.
